At RS Clare & Co we are proud supporters of our local community in Liverpool. As both a company and individual staff members, we’re always eager to look at ways we can work with the businesses and organisations around us to help champion our city.
Over 10 years ago, we partnered and invested in a small business venture, Tails in the City, based on the significant amount of land around our factory premises.
We did this with the aim of putting this land to better use and support the wider redevelopment around the famous Cains Brewery site, situated just a few hundred metres away.
During this time, what started as a small local dog walking business has thrived, becoming Liverpool’s first established doggy daycare centre.
As you can see, their facilities are amazing and fit for energetic pooches of all shapes and sizes! Tails in the City continues to go from strength to strength as they attract more human and canine customers alike.
When asked about the last 10 years, Owner & Founder Julia said:
“On 15th April 2014, Tails In The City was incorporated as a limited company and our journey began as Liverpool’s first established doggy daycare. Born from Tails In The Park, the original dog walking service, we soon realised that we needed an established base to provide our growing number of clients and their fur babies with a safe, stimulating outdoor environment and the rest, as they say, is history. I will be forever grateful to RS Clare, for recognising the potential in our business venture and being willing to rent us the land on which Tails In The City is now based.
Whilst the site has developed significantly over the past years, adapting to the changing and evolving needs of our pups, the ethos of Tails has remained the same- let dogs be dogs. They love nothing more than chasing around after their friends, digging, playing, exploring and living their best lives, secure in the safety of their environment and caring Pack Leaders.
The organisation of Tails means we can safely welcome dogs of all shapes and sizes- from the smallest chihuahuas to the largest Great Danes, from puppies to our elderly ‘old timers’. We have had the privilege of watching many pups grow up into amazing adults and it is always an honour to be part of their journey.
Running a doggy daycare is hard work;- physically demanding is an understatement – but the rewards are immeasurable and we have been lucky to attract staff who share my passion for giving dogs a brilliant experience. Feedback from our clients universally praises our staff for their cheerful willingness to be helpful, whatever the situation.
Finally, we wish to thank you, our clients, for believing in us and for entrusting your precious balls of fun with us. We will always endeavour to do our best for you and your pups.
I hope you will join with us in celebrating our milestone birthday. We wouldn’t be here without you.”
