Bio Grease Range

RS Clare has developed a range of bio greases, designed to meet the latest highest eco standards and accreditations globally.

Private label bio grease

Our Bio range of lubricants is designed for total loss applications in ecologically sensitive environments. This means they are suitable for use in applications, such as:
This range consists of our standard Bio LiCa grease and the enhanced Eco LiCa grease that has been formulated to meet EU Ecolabel standards. We have also developed a heavy duty Bio LiCa HV grease with a higher viscosity base oil providing extreme load performance and improved water resistance for heavy industrial applications.

Technologies

All of our Bio greases are EAL compliant and suitable for US VGP. This means they meet industry standards for biodegradability, eco-toxicity and bioaccumulation, and have been engineered to provide optimal performance in ecologically sensitive environments.

Key features include:

Our bio grease range offer end-users:

EU Ecolabel

The EU Ecolabel for lubricants is designed to promote the development of lubricating greases with a reduced impact on the environment. Certification is voluntarily achieved through a verification process against a set of high environmental standards.
Logo for the EU Ecolabel featuring green leaves forming the shape of a flower, surrounded by stars in a circle with a 'E' symbol at the top. Below, the text reads "EU Ecolabel" in blue and green font. The website "www.ecolabel.eu" is displayed at the bottom.
The logo of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) features a stylized flower with blue petals and green leaves, encircled by the text "United States Environmental Protection Agency" in blue capital letters. This emblem represents the wide range of efforts undertaken by the EPA to protect our environment.

US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

An Environmentally Acceptable Lubricant (EAL) as defined by the EPA is a lubricating grease that is biodegradable, non-bioaccumulative and minimally harmful for the aquatic environment.

The EPA’s Vessel General Permit (VGP) focuses on the impact of lubricant discharges to the aquatic ecosystem in marine applications, and requires a standard of eco-performance for approved use.
