Major General Andrew Kennett led a study group of senior Military and Defence personnel to Liverpool on Friday 27th January 2012.As part of a tour of the North West, they wanted to visit an innovative manufacturer which had overcome the ill effects of the stagnant UK economy through effective exporting – hence their visit to RS Clare.
Considerable interest was shown in the company’s products and how they might be useful to several of the ten countries represented – not least the UK.
Impressed by the spirit of the staff and their obvious commitment to the company’s success, General Kennett spoke highly of the firm’s achievements and said that they would take away some valuable lessons to debate once they returned to London.
Following a presentation by Liverpool Vision, the group particularly noted the City’s intent to play its full part as a World city rather than merely to boast of its attributes.
Liverpool Chamber of Commerce provided a most suitable venue for the presentations, and the visitors left with a very positive impression.
