Valve Sealant 701 Seals All Leaking Valves – Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (Adma-opcp), Abu Dhabi
The Problem
ADMA-OPCO rank their producing wells in order of risk to establish the most at risk wells in their operations. ZK-041, ZK-038 & ZK-032 all based in the Zakum Field 84km north west of Abu Dhabi Islands were all risk rank-1 wells due to the passing Xmas tree valves. It was proposed by the Well Integrity Team to run a trial using RS Clare’s Valve Sealant 701, in an attempt to restore the integrity of the valves and enable an intervention to reduce the risk rank of the wells.
The Solution
The Zakum Field already had a contract with RS Clare to supply Valve Lubricant 601, and since this trial they have expanded this contract to include the procurement of Valve Sealant 701 to seal the valves that suffer from acute leakage problems.
