The Problem
One Rail were dealing with major issues with wayside lubrication in the extreme Northern Territory climate, the previous lubricant being used was unable to provide stability at 40˚C+ heat and could not offer adequate track carry down. A key point they mentioned was how hoses and pumps were continually suffering from blockages due to temperature instability causing the grease to separate and dry out in the machines, leading to high maintenance costs.

The Solution
Working in partnership with IMTRAM, our partners in Australia, RS Clare put forward our EcoCurve range and specifically the Heavy Haul product. ClareShield EcoCurve Heavy Haul was able to address all the requirements One Rail had outlined, Scott Larvis a Rail Track Maintenance Engineer had this to say:

During the development of ClareShield EcoCurve Heavy Haul, it was exposed to an extensive internal comparative evaluation, against multiple competitive lubricants, measuring properties such as flow pressure at different temperatures and a number of other factors ensuring its efficiency at all temperatures.
