At RS Clare, we’re proud to mark International Women’s Day by celebrating the talented women who help shape our business every day. 

Manufacturing remains a sector with real work still to do on gender balance — women make up around 17% of our workforce, and we’re honest about that gap. But when we look at leadership, a different story emerges. 

40% of managers across RS Clare are female — well above the manufacturing industry average. 

That’s not a number we take for granted. It reflects a culture where talent is recognised and progression is genuinely accessible, regardless of gender — and it’s something our team feel first-hand.

This year’s IWD theme is Accelerate Action — and for us, action means continuing to listen, invest, and create real opportunity for everyone in our business. 

We’re also taking a moment to celebrate an inspiring figure beyond our walls. We admire Hannah Fry — mathematician, author, broadcaster, and the first woman to deliver the Royal Institution Christmas Lectures. She has spent her career making maths joyful and accessible for everyone, and opening doors for the next generation of scientists and thinkers.
