Ecolabel approved; environmentally friendly, high performance curved rail lubricants appropriate for use in all types of trackside lubricators. Both of our ClareTech EcoCurve Trackside rail greases are designed to protect the gauge corner and are also suitable for lubricating switchplates and check rails.
True all-seasons curved rail greases; both grades (NLGI 1.5 and NLGI 1) of ClareTech EcoCurve Trackside offer consistently high performance in all climates and operating conditions.

In the United States, this means complying with the Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants Scheme, part of the Environmental Protection Agency’s legislation. In Europe, we’re the proud bearers of the EU Ecolabel badge, Each recognises in different ways the biodegradable and non-bio accumulative elements in our lubricants, which reduce impact on the aquatic environment and soil during use. With 75-90% renewable content, the ClareTech EcoCurve range goes a long way towards reducing carbon footprint whilst boosting sustainability.

Case Study
Chicago City Transport (CTA) were experiencing problems with rain washing the grease off the track, leaving the rail without lubrication. This led to significant rail squeal issues when the trains navigated a particular curve, garnering noise complaints due to the location of the track and level of noise.
CTA's preference is to only have engineers on track for essential maintenance works and as an interim solution their lubrication team were having to manually apply lubricant on track as a back-up measure, and this was not a viable solution.
