RS Clare is very proud to have been included in the 2016 “1000 Companies to Inspire Britain” list, compiled by the London Stock Exchange Group. The list celebrates some of the fastest-growing and dynamic SMEs in the UK.
Ian Meadows, Executive Chairman, has steered the firm’s development since 1979, and having just reached the age of 70 will hand over the executive reins in May 2016. “Plans are currently in hand to provide modern offices – the last time this happened was in 1913 – the latest laboratory facilities and state of the art manufacturing capacity. £2.5 million has been invested over the past year or so from within reserves and that is just the start. The finished article will be the most modern grease plant in UK”.

Mr Meadows summed up: “It has been our ambition to achieve sustainable profitable growth for decades and this is now being achieved”.
“RS Clare is market leader in UK for rail track lubrication, being supplier of choice to Network Rail and London Underground. Success is now being replicated in USA, Australia and plans are being developed to further broaden the base”.
In recent years the company has built an enviable reputation as the global leader in Valve Lubrication to ensure well integrity in the upstream Oil & Gas industry. Despite the collapse of the price of crude oil, sales of Clare specialist greases remain buoyant. Operators and asset owners recognise that the cost of the grease is insignificant compared to the savings its use generates”.
