The citation was read by Dame Lorna Muirhead, Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside who described the broad involvement of Mr Meadows in the City’s and his industry’s affairs over a period of more than 40 years – ranging from the National Presidency of the British Lubricants Association, to the Chairmanship of several organisations such as Liverpool Chamber of Commerce and Liverpool Personal Service Society, Merseyside’s premier care charity.
