The well test equipment package includes a large range of equipment, including surface test trees, surface safety valve, sand filter/de-sander units, flow manifolds, separator, heat exchanger. This equipment has gate valves and in some cases plug valves. The very nature of testing the well generates some very challenging flow conditions, at high pressures and with solids such as sand. The valves require optimum protection for these operations, and it’s important the test tree valves can deliver full sealing integrity in order to obtain accurate pressure gradient data on the well. Equally, the sustained functionality of the surface safety valve is paramount.
