Eid-ul-Adha, also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” is one of the most significant Islamic holidays, commemorating the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God. This sacred festival brings together families and communities in a spirit of gratitude and generosity.
This month, we hosted a special lunch event as part of our Equality Diversity and Inclusion events to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha, bringing together friends and colleagues to experience flavours of the Middle East, South Asia, and beyond. As part of our menu, colleagues were able to taste:
- Vegetable and meat samosas
- Pakoras
- Halwa
- Mango Lassi
We are proud as a company to support our employees’ cultures and traditions whilst encouraging diversity. As a company, we will also be donating £250 to our local Trussell Trust Food bank here in Liverpool.
Next month we are promoting Disability Awareness Month.
