On Friday, 21st June, the RS Clare team swapped their desks for a day of thrills as we celebrated an outstanding year of performance with an all-paid-for trip to Blackpool Pleasure Beach. The sun was shining, spirits were high, and the entire team was ready to enjoy a well-deserved break from the daily grind.
Kick-Off
The day kicked off with a warm welcome at the entrance of Blackpool Pleasure Beach, where everyone received an all-day voucher allowing them to explore the park’s exhilarating attractions along with a voucher for a game of mini-golf and a fast-track pass to the wet-n’-mighty Valhalla. The agenda was simple—celebrate the company’s outstanding performance this year due to our great team.
Euro 2024 Team Challenge
In celebration of Euro 2024, we were given an envelope with a national team inside. If the team wins the Euros this year, the colleagues in that team will receive £150, and RS Clare will match that £150 donation to their chosen charity. The highlight for many was undoubtedly the roller coasters. From the adrenaline-pumping twists and turns of The Big One to the nostalgic charm of the Grand National, there was something for everyone.
Let the Games Begin
After a morning of excitement, the team gathered for an all-you-can-eat buffet lunch. The spread featured a delicious variety of hot and cold options from a roast Chicken roast dinner to platters of wraps and cheese and crackers. Catering to diverse tastes and dietary preferences. It was the perfect opportunity to relax, refuel, and catch up with colleagues from different departments. Post-lunch, some of the group headed to the mini-golf course for some light-hearted competition. Teams were formed, putters were handed out, and the games began. The course was filled with laughter, friendly banter, and a few unexpected hole-in-ones.
