Valve Sealant 701

This range was designed to further expand on the sealing performance that had been achieved with Valve Lubricant 601. Gate valves leak when there is damage across the sealing surfaces of the gate or seats, in the form of galling, scoring or cutting. The severity of the damage is key to how well a certain lubricant or sealant will perform, in terms of filling in the damaged area and assisting the valve to hold pressure across the seal system.

Proven Performance

Valve Sealant 701 is able to seal gate valves which have moderate to severe damage on the gate and seats. This performance has been proven both in the pressure test workshop, by using purposely cut seats in the test valve, and latterly across the industry in actual field deployment. Many successes have been documented, after all other attempts to seal the valve with other sealant products have failed.

Industry Recognition

The significant performance success of 701 has led to a major IOC implementing a formal technical procedure for establishing well barrier integrity using 701. In addition, a major valve OEM has classed the product as an important valve sealing tool to have available for all wellhead workover jobs, where a leaking valve may be encountered.

701 is guaranteed to reduce the operational costs associated with leaking valves. When planning your intervention job, where you will require integral well barriers, ensure you have Valve Sealant 701 and a suitable RS Clare spec pump system.

The sealing performance of 701 is documented in the Pressure Test Workshop Report and the Case Study Field reports. For more information please fill in the enquiry form and one of our technical team will be in touch.

“Although the tree valves are well within normal operating performance standards we were unable to provide the zero leak rates required with standard grease. 701 grease has been used and so far has been very successful in obtaining a zero leak rate which has allowed the maintenance team to carry out their work scope.”
Well Integrity Superintendent, BOL UK

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and acknowledge your support and cooperation to help us in achieving the healthy status of the wells”
HSE Engineer for Well Head, ADMA OPCO

“We had a major integrity issue with steam well gate valves. All valves were leaking and we could not rig up wireline to secure the well and suspend it and do an xmas tree change out. We injected 701 and it managed to hold the leak and maintain zero pressure for us to rig up”
