Traffic Safety The Traffic Safety Division of R.S. Clare manufactures a full range of thermoplastic road marking and traffic safety systems. R.S. Clare pioneered the development of these materials and in 1933 produced the world’s first truly thermoplastic road marking compound. Continuous development in this field has seen Clare’s materials exported and applied worldwide. Today R.S. Clare supplies thermoplastic products both to European standards (EN 1436, 1871 and 1824) and customer specific requirements for the full range of screed, extrusion and spray applications. Our team of experienced staff are on hand to discuss all aspects of road marking and traffic calming products to assist clients. The recently completed, purpose built surface coatings development facility has been designed to provide the best possible working environment. Our dedicated surface coatings technical staff are determined to use the best available raw materials to deliver a high quality product within the short lead times demanded by the industry's clients. Wilson & Scott (Highways) Ltd, an autonomous group subsiduary, is one of the most experienced road maintenance contractors in the UK, being founded in 1952.
