The Chairman announced today that Richard Grantham is R S Clare Employee of 2011.

“Richard has been with the company for 15 years, starting as a trainee sales engineer. He gained broad experience selling industrial lubricants to the Steel, Mining and Rail industries in UK and overseas. His mechanical engineering degree from UMIST stood him in good stead, but it didn’t fully prepare him for his foray into gate valve lubrication in the upstream oil industry.

He therefore immersed himself in well head technology which has proved invaluable in guiding  the company’s 
R & D team to develop a new generation of Gate Valve Lubricants and Sealants. Indeed he now lectures on the subject of Well Integrity globally and will be presenting a paper at the ‘Well Integrity and Intervention World 2011’ conference at the Hilton in Abu Dhabi October 10-12.

Richard is now an acknowledged expert in the field of lubrication upstream, and has been a prime mover in establishing R S Clare of Liverpool at the forefront of this global industry. He richly deserves this accolade which was warmly greeted by his colleagues”
