On October 12th 2011 the RS Clare Technical Sales Manager for Surface Treatments Mark Butler attended the naming ceremony at Xiamen Shipbuilding Industries yard in southern China for the 4900 unit PCTC (pure car and truck carrier) Hoegh Singapore built for Hoegh Autoliners.
This was the 6th such vessel built at XSI that has had the RS Clare Bimagrip anti-skid surfacing system applied to all of the ramps between the decks, and the 25th Hoegh new building that has had Bimagrip applied to in the past 8 years.
The RS Clare Bimagrip system has been applied to well in excess of 100 new build PCTCs during the past 12 years for all of the major owners and operators in this very specific market, all of whom recognise and appreciate the benefits brought by Bimagrip when compared to the old style welded metal traction systems.
RS Clare value strongly the relationship that has developed with Hoegh Autoliners in recent years and were honoured to attend this prestigious event.
