Dame Lorna Muirhead DBE, Lord Lieutenant  of Merseyside and Prof Helen Carty High Sheriff visited the company on 2nd August to present Merseyside’s only Queen’s Award for Enterprise: for International Sales 2011.

In marking the Company’s success Dame Lorna said she was impressed by the positive atmosphere, the cleanliness of the factory and the enthusiasm which was so apparent.

The High Sheriff presented a gold watch to Stock Controller John Monaghan, the 11th current employee and the third member of his family to receive one for 25 years service. She congratulated him on his commitment and his obvious enthusiasm.

After making the Presentation the party, which included Janet Dugdale Director The Museum of Liverpool, had a buffet lunch with the staff and then toured the factory. The visit lasted for two hours and was a great success.
