RS Clare & Co Ltd was founded in Liverpool in 1748 by Richard S Clare at the start of the Industrial Revolution.  We are the longest established company manufacturing lubricants in the United Kingdom.

RS Clare is a family business with long term aspirations rather than short term quick hits.  Pursuit of excellence in all that we do is of the essence and the number of awards presented to the company in the past few years would indicate that there is much life in the old firm yet!

Managed on the basis of a "Balanced Scorecard", where solid finance, growing R&D, a manufacturing unit which is fit for purpose and motivated competent team are all working together in sync, the workforce regularly produces net profit in excess of 10% on turnover of £20m pa.

Exports constitute over 50% of sales and the strategy is aimed at producing sustainable profitable growth at a time of stagnant growth in our domestic economy.
